Canalta Hotels to
open a Ramada in
Humboldt
Gary Hoffert,
Regional Vice
President of Canalta
Hotels was in
Humboldt on
Thursday, June 18th.
He announced at a
Chamber Luncheon the
plans to build a
Ramada Hotel in
Humboldt. They
will be breaking
ground this summer
and expect an
opening date in the
summer of 2010.

Visits Humboldt

The Humboldt &
District Chamber of
Commerce and the
Humboldt Hospital
Foundation partnered
together to bring
Saskatchewan's
leading business
commentator, Mr.
Paul Martin, to our
area for a tour and
luncheon on May
19th. Mr.
Martin focused his
address at the
luncheon on where
Saskatchewan was and
where we have grown
to be in terms of
employment rates,
exports,
opportunities,
immigration and
capital investments.
Mr. Martin's view is
that the "new
Saskatchewan is the
new normal".
