What is the Chamber of Commerce?
The Chamber of Commerce is a
non-profit organization, independent of government. Its activities are
carried out through the volunteer contributions and talents of the
service, business, industrial, and professional individuals that
compromise its membership.
The activities of
the Chamber of Commerce focus on:
- The future of our community as a whole,
recognizing that promotion of our community to greater heights
reflects back to all of us.
- Programs for promotion and development of our
members and of business.
Who is the Chamber
of Commerce?
The Chamber of Commerce is comprised of a
volunteer membership that is governed by officials elected from its
membership. Various committees are formed to support the many aspects
of your community and the objectives of our mandate. Membership is
open to businesses of all sizes, professional groups or any individual
“directly or indirectly engaged in trade, commerce, or the economics
and social welfare” of our community.
Why is the Chamber
of Commerce necessary?
The Chamber of Commerce is an ESSENTIAL
organization that provides a forum to unite the many aspects of our
community in an effort to plan our future development, recognizing
that the future of the community is closely aligned to the growth of
existing businesses and the development of new ones.
