What is the Chamber of Commerce?
The Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit organization, independent of
government. Its activities are carried out through the volunteer
contributions and talents of the service, business, industrial, and
professional individuals that compromise its membership.
The Humboldt & District Chamber of Commerce (HDCC) has been doing
work in Humboldt for 105 years. Membership has grown significantly
in the past few years with the Chamber reaching a milestone of 200
members in 2011. While once an organization that focussed on the
City of Humboldt, we are now reaching out to the entire region and
encompass businesses within a 50+km radius of Humboldt.

Who is the Chamber of Commerce?
The Chamber of Commerce is comprised of a volunteer membership that
is governed by officials elected from its membership. Various
committees are formed to support the many aspects of your community
and the objectives of our mandate. Membership is open to businesses
of all sizes, professional groups or any individual “directly or
indirectly engaged in trade, commerce, or the economics and social
welfare” of our community.
Why Join?
If you are doing business in this area, you are participating in the
economy of the community. The one organization actively devoted to
developing, protecting and expanding that opportunity is your local
Chamber of Commerce.
The Chamber works for its members, being the spokesperson for
business and professional communities, and by promoting commercial,
industrial, social and civic interests of our community. We will
continue to be the leader in addressing the issues affecting the
Humboldt & District business climate.
Our success and effectiveness is directly related to our membership
base and therefore we appreciate and value your membership with the
Chamber.
